Visitors to the Lafayette area find plenty of comfortable places to stay, ranging from historic bed and breakfasts to modern motels and hotels with all the amenities. Hotel construction is constant in Lafayette, so there's always a new place to stay, and older hotels are undergoing renovation to keep up with the growth. According to the Lafayette Economic Development Authority, there are approximately 54 hotels, motels and bed and breakfasts with over 4,800 rooms in Lafayette Parish.
In downtown Lafayette, two hotels are going up, Hilton Homewood Suites and the Juliet Boutique Hotel. Homewood Suites will be a 100-suite hotel with luxury accommodations designed for business travelers or extended-stay guests. The Juliet will include 20 luxury suites, in addition to a meeting facility on the second floor and a pool, spa, sauna and steam room on the bottom.
